Micro Brewery
Bogota Beer company, Proudly Small, Passionately Grand
Bogota Beer Company (BBC), founded in 2005, is a microbrewery born out of the desire to bring the uniqueness and mastery of craft beer to Bogotá. With a focus on small batches and authentic German recipes, BBC takes pride in crafting distinctive flavors. But more than just brewing beer, the company has fostered a welcoming community where people can come together, share their passion for craft beer, and deepen their understanding of the craft.
As BBC looked to evolve its brand, it sought not just to refine its visual identity but to find a voice that could educate consumers about the world of craft beer. The journey inward led to the rediscovery of a key symbol: a classic Ford delivery truck that had been distributing their beer for nine years. This emblem became central to the brand’s new identity.
As a next step in shaping its new identity, the brewery aimed to connect more deeply with Bogotá’s urban culture. Drawing inspiration from the city’s classic neighborhoods, the brand adopted a design that resonates with local traditions. The iconic Ford delivery truck became a unifying symbol, providing graphical consistency throughout the branding. The design also incorporated elements from the urban signage commonly seen in Bogotá’s streets, adding an authentic local touch to strengthen the brand’s connection to its roots.
